Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, resourceful and seasoned individual for the role Program Manager. As a member of the Oasis Management Team, the Program Manager will have oversight for the day-to-day operations and programs of the Youth Centre, while supporting the Executive Director in strategic fundraising initiatives and program design and development. The Program Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring excellence in our service delivery and in promoting the growth of our organization with key responsibilities that include (but not limited to):

Program Oversight

  • Provide strategic leadership, direction and execution of all aspects of Oasis Youth Care Programs.

  • Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure effective program delivery.

  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to meet the needs of at-risk youth.

  • Lead the day to day operations management and manage all paid and voluntary staff

Team Leadership and Management

Recruit, train, and supervise frontline program staff, ensuring a supportive and empowering work environment.

Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability among team members.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and support to staff.

Client Services

  • Oversee the intake process for at-risk youth entering the housing program, ensuring their needs are assessed and addressed appropriately.

  • Provide Case Management and develop individualized service plans in collaboration with clients and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their participation in the program.

  • Coordinate with external agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for youth in areas such as education, healthcare, and employment.

Community Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with government, local organizations, churches, volunteers, and community stakeholders to enhance program resources and support.

  • Represent Oasis Youth Care Programs at community events, meetings, and conferences to raise awareness and advocate for the needs of at-risk youth.

Financial Management and Funding Strategy:

  • Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the executive team, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.

  • Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant writing and fundraising efforts to sustain and expand program initiatives.

  • Design, develop and oversee Fundraising initiatives.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in the non-profit sector with a focus on youth services within marginalized communities and at-risk youth.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to find solutions, evaluate options, and expedite decisions.

  • Collaborative leader, with ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth, staff, community partners, funders, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of best practices in youth development, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction strategies.

  • Experience managing program budgets and resources effectively

  • Commitment to the mission and values of Oasis Youth Care Programs, including a Christian worldview and dedication to serving others.
