Over the past five years, Oasis Youth Care has focused on one of the most fragile moments in a young person’s life. The transition into adulthood for young men aging out of care or unstable family systems is often marked by sudden loss of housing, guidance, and support. While this trajectory cannot always be prevented, it can be met with stability, relationship, and care. 

Youth homelessness is often spoken about as if it is simply a younger version of adult homelessness. The same language. The same assumptions. The same solutions. But this approach misses the mark, and it misses young people entirely.
